Important Questions & Answers
Please consider the Birmingham Pride team is small and an even smaller team are responding to enquiries via our social media platforms. Please be patient with us. We’ve worked hard to give as much information as possible through our public statements, but you may find the following information useful.
Why are you postponing Birmingham Pride to 2021?
As the current crisis has evolved we have been working tirelessly on different scenarios to make Birmingham Pride happen. When it became apparent that the original May dates were not feasible we made arrangements to move everything to September.
It is now apparent that that too poses too many difficulties and moreover peoples safety is paramount to us. Due to the scale and seriousness of the current pandemic we are not prepared to put you or staff at risk.
Will next years date have the same artists?
We are already working extremely hard to move as many of the artists booked for this year to 2021, including our headliners Kelly Rowland and Cheryl. We are committed to making next year one of the BIGGEST and BEST events in our history.
As artists are transferred and confirmed, we will make regular announcements on this website and through our social media channels.
What can I do with my current ticket?
All tickets purchased for the events due to take place this year will automatically be transferred to the event in 2021. You DO NOT need to do anything right now. Your ticket will remain valid for 2021.
We fully accept and understand that some of you are experiencing uncertain times and will be unsure if you’re able to attend next year. Provisions for face value refunds (not including any fees) WILL be made.
Don’t panic, our ticket agent ‘The Ticketsellers’ will be in touch with you via email within FOURTEEN DAYS. Please be patient and check your inbox and your spam folders.
Options to donate or part donate your ticket to Birmingham Pride will also be available. If you can do this, it will really help secure the future of Birmingham Pride and benefit numerous, local support groups, key service providers and charities.
Can I buy tickets now, for the event in 2021
We fully appreciate that many of us will want something to look forward to next year. With that in mind you will be able to purchase tickets ahead of next years event. Various ticket options will be available for you to purchase tickets. Please be aware that no ‘Super Early Buy’ or ‘Early Buy’ tickets will be released for sale for the event for 2021. This is another advantage to retaining your current ticket if you have one.
My organisation have booked to be on the Birmingham Pride Parade, what happens next?
We are extremely lucky to have beeb supported by numerous organisations taking part in the high profile parade through the city in recent years. We know how important visibility is. Just like the tickets, we will automatically transfer your entry into the parade for 2021. You need do nothing now.
We will be contacting you all very soon. If you are unable to commit in advance to taking part next year a member of our team will communicate with you as soon as possible. Again, please be patient with us.
