PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY
Since the first charged for Birmingham Pride event in 2015, the festival has historically awarded in excess of £335k to LGBTQ+ community groups, support organisations, arts and culture, sporting groups, charities and others, to help provide funding for community services, events and activity.
We are proud, with your help to have supported the likes of Birmingham LGBT, Trans Masculine, Shout Festival, Birmingham HIV and Aids Memorial, Birmingham Gay Symphony Orchestra, Pink Sou’westers, Rainbow Voices, Birmingham Gay Symphony Orchestra, Sober Pride, Journey LGBT asylum seekers, St Basils, Sifa Fireside, Birmingham Bulls, Birmingham Swifts and MANY more.
Applications for grants are now independently considered and awarded by the Birmingham Pride community Foundation, a group of dedicated volunteers, representative of all sections of our community. Applications are open at specific times throughout the year, announced on our social media channels. Guidance notes for organisations, together with an application are available to view and download on the Birmingham Pride website.
