Volunteers

Volunteer with
Birmingham Pride

Any Pride festival is only as strong as its volunteers, and Birmingham Pride has some of the best. Many of our volunteers have been with us for years, helping to create a safe, fun, and inclusive experience. They are the backbone of our pride family.

Our volunteers play a crucial role before and during the festival weekend, taking on a wide range of responsibilities. From organising and marshalling the pride parade, stewarding entrances and ticket areas, providing information, assisting attendees, supporting accessibility, and much more, their work ensures Birmingham Pride runs smoothly for everyone.

Simply put, we couldn’t deliver Birmingham Pride without our incredible volunteers.

How to Get Involved:

Volunteering with Birmingham Pride means being at the heart of the action in the Gay Village on Friday 28th Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th May 2027. You’ll be part of a dedicated team helping to make the festival safe, welcoming, and memorable.

It’s a fantastic chance to give back to your community, meet new people, develop new skills, and be part of something truly special. You’ll be joining a team passionate about celebrating, supporting, fundraising, and campaigning for the wider LGBTQIA+ community.

Volunteer Roles Include:

  • Supporting the Pride parade and procession
  • Stewarding entrances and ticket control
  • Assisting at the Festival including entertainment stages
  • Providing accessibility support
  • Helping with information and directions
  • Fundraising and community outreach

No matter your interests or experience, there’s a place for you here.

Who Can Volunteer?

Applications are open to everyone regardless of faith, race, ethnicity, ability, sexuality, or gender identity. All we ask is that you are 18 years or older.
